Beautiful Barcelona

From the moment I arrived in Barcelona, I knew there was something different about this city that totally won my heart. Might be the people, the amazing food or maybe the fact that there’s Gaudi art everywhere you look…or might be just a combination of everything.

I had the opportunity to stay in Barcelona for a total of 6 days and I wish it would have lasted longer. I shared a flat with 2 awesome girls who turned out becoming good friends during my trip. They showed me around the city, we had pinchos one night and experienced the barcelona nightlife. Thanks to them my experience was so much richer.

I was able to check out different neighborhoods like El Raval, Barceloneta, Sagrada Familia, the gothic quarter , el Plobenou. All of them had it’s charm…I recommend checking out the gothic quarter with all the narrow streets and hidden bars, definitely great for nightlife. During the morning, barceloneta is so beautiful, the beaches are gorgeous and if weather permits, seat by the sidewalk and just do some people watching.

Now, you cannot leave Barcelona without seeing some flamenco, the music will touch your soul and make you want to dance…I totally love it..

and please try their food…from the tapas, to pinchos, to paella…my God!

Whatever you do, just take it all in….breathe…seat in one of the cafes, walk the narrow streets , talk to strangers, make new friends…is all part of the process and part of the experience. Savor life and every moment. Thank you Barcelona, you have a special place in my heart.
